The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Reg Alcock, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Reg Alcock, Paul Forseth, Robert Lanctôt, Pat Martin, Paul Szabo and Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Members present: Alex Shepherd for Carolyn Bennett; Marlene Jennings for Raymonde Folco; Paul Harold Macklin for Steve Mahoney; John Bryden for Tony Valeri; Diane Ablonczy for Ken Epp.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn, Analyst.
Witness: From the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: George Radwanski, Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 3, 2003, consideration of matters relating to the operation of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 12:40 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
