Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons
with Disabilities met at 3:27 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the
Vice-Chair, Eugène Bellemare, presiding.
Members of the Committee
present: Eugène
Bellemare, John Finlay, Gurbax Malhi, Raymond Simard and Diane St-Jacques.
Acting Members present: Carolyn Bennett for Larry
McCormick, Wendy Hill for Libby Davies, Chuck Strahl for Monte Solberg and
Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral for Suzanne Tremblay.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament:
Kevin Kerr and Bill Young, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Department of Finance:
Serge Nadeau, Director, Personal Income Tax Division; Lise Potvin, Senior
Chief, Personal Income Tax Division.
Pursuant to Standing Order
108(2), the Committee commenced to review the changes to the eligibility for
the Disability Tax Credit.
Carolyn Bennett made an
opening statement.
The witnesses made opening
statements and answered questions.
At 4:35 p.m. Diane
St-Jacques assumed the Chair.
At 4:41 p.m. Eugène
Bellemare assumed the Chair.
At 4:48 p.m., the Committee
adjourned to the call of the Chair.
