The Standing Committee on Health met at 3:41 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Bonnie Brown, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Bonnie Brown, James Lunney, Réal Ménard, Rob Merrifield, Svend Robinson, Hélène Scherrer and Carol Skelton.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Nancy Miller Chenier and Sonya Norris, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Assembly of First Nations: Elaine Johnston, Director, Health Secretariat; Marilyn Carpentier, Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program Coordinator (CPCP), Health Secretariat; Bryan Hendry, Communications Officer, Health Secretariat.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), a session on the health status of Aboriginal peoples.
Elaine Johnston made a statement and, with other witnesses, answered questions.
At 5:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
