The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 11:08 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Rick Borotsik, Marlene Catterall, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Dale Johnston, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, John Reynolds, Jacques Saada and Werner Schmidt.
Acting Members present: Mark Eyking for Joe Jordan; Marcel Proulx for Guy St-Julien; Benoît Sauvageau for Pierre Brien.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: MGen. G. Cloutier, Sergeant-at-Arms; Michel Thivierge, Director, Security Services.
Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(i), the Committee resumed consideration of security on the Hill.
The witnesses each made a statement and answered questions.
At 12:44 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
