The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 8:12 a.m. this day, in Winnipeg at the Radisson Suites Hotel Winnipeg Airport in Ballroom ABC, the Chair, Joe Fontana, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present:  Joe Fontana, Lynne Yelich.

 

Acting Member present:  Andrew Telegdi for David Price.

 

Other Member present:  Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

In attendance:  From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament:  Benjamin Dolin, Researcher.

Witnesses: Panel I :From the Employment Projects of Winnipeg: Magaly Diaz, Acting Executive Director; Jason Fuerst, Employer Liaison. From the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council: Martin M. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Settlement and Integration Programs (see Minutes of Proceedings, Monday, February 10, 2003, Meeting No. 20).

At 10:10 a.m. the sitting was suspended.

At 10:25 a.m. the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Provincial/Territorial Nominee Programs (See Minutes of Proceedings, Monday, February 10, 2003, Meeting No. 18).

At 12:00 noon, the Committee adjourned until later this day.
