Meeting No. 11

Thursday, December 12, 2002

The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 9:08 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Charles Hubbard, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: David L. Anderson, Rick Borotsik, Murray Calder, Claude Duplain, Mark Eyking, Charles Hubbard, Larry McCormick, Dick Proctor, Bob Speller, Paul Steckle and Rose-Marie Ur.

Acting Member present: Yvan Loubier for Louis Plamondon.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Denis Fréchette, Principal.

Witnesses: From the "Ordre des agronomes du Québec": Claire Bolduc, President; Marco Morin, President, Outaouais Division. From the Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences: Gordon McBean, Chair, Board of Trustees; Dawn Conway, Executive Director.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the impact of the Kyoto Protocol on the agricultural sector

Claire Bolduc and Marco Morin from « l’Ordre des agronomes du Québec » and Gordon McBean from the Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences made opening statements and answered questions.

At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
