MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 7

Wednesday, May 30, 2001

The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 3:32 p.m. this day, in Room 306, West Block, the Chair, Mac Harb, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Rick Casson, Mark Eyking, Mac Harb, Pat O'Brien, Pierre Paquette, Bob Speller, Tony Valeri.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg, Blayne Haggart.

Consideration of Committee Reports.

It was agreed - That the draft report (as amended) be adopted as the Sub-Committee's Second Report to the Committee and that the Chair be instructed to present it to the full Committee.

It was agreed - That the Chair be authorized to make such typographical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed - That Members would consult with their Caucuses regarding a possible date for the Sub-Committee travel to Washington on the issue of Softwood Lumber.

At 4:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
