The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in a televised session at 11:34 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Reg Alcock, Mauril Bélanger, Pierre Brien, Scott Brison, John Cannis, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Charlie Penson, James Rajotte, Paddy Torsney and Susan Whelan.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Daniel Brassard, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From the Canadian e-Business Opportunities Roundtable: David Pecaut, Co-Chair, President, iFormation Group; John Wetmore, E-Team Captain, Vice-President, IBM Americas; John F. Eckert, E-Team Captain, Managing Partner, McLean Watson Capital; Matt Holland, E-Team Captain, Vice-President and Managing Director, The Boston Consulting Group (Toronto); Jean-Pierre Soublière, E-Team Captain, President and Chief Executive Officer, Anderson Soublière Inc.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), consideration of the Report of the Canadian E-Business Opportunities Roundtable.

David Pecaut made an opening statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 1:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
