The Standing Committee on Health met in camera at 9:19 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Bonnie Brown, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Bonnie Brown, Colleen Beaumier, Jeannot Castonguay, Stan Dromisky, James Lunney, Rob Merrifield, Hélène Scherrer, Judy Sgro, Yolande Thibeault, Judy Wasylycia-Leis.
Acting Members present: Preston Manning for Diane Ablonczy, Pauline Picard for Diane Bourgeois, Bob Wood for Brenda Chamberlain.
Associate Members present: Preston Manning, Pauline Picard.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: François Côté, Nancy Miller Chenier, Sonya Norris and Monique Hébert, Research Officers.
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report on the proposal on Assisted Human Reproduction. (See Minutes of Proceedings dated Thursday, May 3, Meeting No. 13.)
At 9:58 a.m., the Vice-Chair, Rob Merrifield, took the Chair.
At 10:37 a.m., the Chair, Bonnie Brown, took the Chair.
At 10:54 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:34 a.m., the sitting resumed.
At 11:54 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 12:04 p.m., the sitting was resumed.
At 1:18 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 1:30 p.m., the sitting was resumed.
At 2:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 3:30 p.m., the sitting was resumed.
It was agreed, - That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(1)(a), the Committee authorize the printing of any dissenting opinion as appendices to the report immediately following the signature of the Chair.
At 4:37 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
