[English]

The Chair (Mr. Maurizio Bevilacqua (Vaughan—King—Aurora, Lib.)): I'd like to call the meeting to order. We are now proceeding to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill S-23. In my conversation with a number of people here—Ms. Leung from the government side—I understand there are no amendments at this stage.

Mr. Epp.

Mr. Ken Epp (Elk Island, Canadian Alliance): Mr. Chairman, I would like to inform you that we are not ready with any amendments at this time.

The Chair: Okay.

[Translation]

Go ahead, Mr. Perron.

Mr. Gilles-A. Perron (Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, BQ): Like the Canadian Alliance, we are not quite ready either to propose amendments at this time.

[English]

The Chair: Okay.

Mr. Nystrom.

[Translation]

Mr. Lorne Nystrom (Regina—Qu'Appelle, NDP): I would like to move 50 amendments...

[English]

No, we don't have any amendments either.

The Chair: Mr. Brison.

Mr. Scott Brison (Kings—Hants, PC/DR): We have no amendments.

The Chair: Seeing no amendments on any side, I would like permission from the committee to proceed with the clauses. Perhaps we can deal with them in one block. That would be clauses 1 to 112.

(Clauses 1 to 112 inclusive agreed to)

The Chair: Shall the title pass?

Some hon. members: Agreed.

The Chair: Shall I report the bill without amendment to the House?

Some hon. members: Agreed.

The Chair: Thank you very much.

The meeting is adjourned.
