The Standing Committee on Finance met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Carolyn Bennett, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Roy Cullen, Ken Epp and Gary Pillitteri.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Blayne Haggart and Marc-André Pigeon, Researchers.
Witnesses: From Crocus Investment Fund: Sherman Kreiner, President and Chief Executive Officer; Rob Hilliard, Chairman of the Board; Nick Logan, President, National Leasing Group Inc.. From ESOP Builders Inc.: Perry Phillips. From Employee Share Ownership & Investment Association: Julia Markus, Executive Director; John Kidder, Director.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to consider the subject of the employee share ownership plans.
Sherman Kreiner, Rob Hilliard, Nick Logan, Julia Markus, Perry Phillips and John Kidder made statements and answered questions.
At 5:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
