Thursday, February 7, 2002

The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 9:17 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the acting Chair, Jerry Pickard, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mark Assad, Yvon Charbonneau, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Inky Mark, Anita Neville, Jerry Pickard, Judy Wasylycia-Leis, Lynne Yelich.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Benjamin Dolin and Margaret Young, Researchers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) – the Committee resumed its review of Regulations under the new Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Immigration Policy Council: Howard D. Greenberg, Founding Member. From the Coalition of Regulatory Agencies: Marie Lemay, Chief Executive Officer, and Susan Glover Takahashi, Executive Director, The Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators. From the L.Cormode & Associates Research Services: Liisa Cormode, President, L. Cormode & Associates Research Services.

Howard D. Greenberg made an opening statement and answered questions.

Marie Lemay and Susan Glover Takahashi made an opening statement and answered questions.

Liisa Cormode made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 11:35 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
