Monday, June 11, 2001
The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met in camera at 7:19 p.m. this day, in Room 214, Wellington Building, the Chair, Charles Hubbard, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: David L. Anderson, Rick Borotsik, Murray Calder, Claude Duplain, Mark Eyking, Marcel Gagnon, Howard Hilstrom, Charles Hubbard, Rick Laliberte, Larry McCormick, Dick Proctor, Bob Speller, Paul Steckle, Suzanne Tremblay, Rose-Marie Ur.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Frédéric Forge and Jean-Denis Fréchette, Research Officers.
Consideration of an Interim Report.
The Committee began consideration of a draft interim report on the issue of the Future Role of the Government in the Grain and Oilseeds Sector.
It was agreed – That the draft report, as amended, be adopted as the Committee’s Second Report to the House and that the Chair be instructed to present it to the House.
At 9:44 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
