Meeting No. 1
Wednesday, November 3, 1999
The Sub-Committee on Human Rights and International Development of the Standing Committee of Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:34 p.m., this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, Colleen Beaumier, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Eugène Bellemare, Aileen Carroll, Svend Robinson.
Acting Member present: Yves Rocheleau for Maud Debien.
In attendance: From theParliamentary Research Branch- Library of Parliament: James Lee; Gerald Schmitz.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Sub-Committee proceeded to consider its future business.
It was agreed, -- That, the Sub-Committee do hold some information sessions and round table discussions prior to undertaking a more in-depth study of the Human Security situation in Africa.
At 3:51 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
