Meeting No. 26

Tuesday, June 6, 2000

The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met at 11:03 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Sue Barnes, John Finlay, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Derrek Konrad.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Mary Hurley, Tonina Simeone, Research Officers.

Witness: From the Harvard Project: Stephen Cornell, Co-Director, Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development, University of Arizona.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration on its study of Aboriginal Economic Development.

Stephen Cornell made an opening statement and answered questions.

It was agreed, -That the presentation of Mr. Stephen Cornell be appended.

At 12:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
