The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food of Bill C-26, An Act to amend the Canada Grain Act and the Agriculture and Agri-Food Administrative Monetary Penalties Act and to repeal the Grain Futures Act.

Ms. Fry (Secretary of State (Multiculturalism)(Status of Women)) for Mr. Vanclief (Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food), seconded by Mr. Gagliano (Minister of Public Works and Government Services), moved, -- That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food.

The debate continued.

By unanimous consent, it was ordered, -- That, at the conclusion of today's debate on a motion for second reading of Bill C-26, An Act to amend the Canada Grain Act and the Agriculture and Agri-Food Administrative Monetary Penalties Act and to repeal the Grain Futures Act, the question be deemed put and agreed to on division.
