MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 38

Wednesday, October 28, 1998

The Standing Committee on Transport met in camera at 3:34 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Ray Bonin, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Roy Bailey, Ray Bonin, John Cannis, Bill Casey, Roy Cullen, Bev Desjarlais, Stan Dromisky, Claude Drouin, Michel Guimond, Ovid Jackson, Stan Keyes, Lee Morrison, Lou Sekora.

Acting Member present: Larry McCormick for Murray Calder.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: John Christopher, Research Officer.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of questions taken from its list of future business.

It was moved,-- That Transport Canada Officials be invited to appear before the Committee to answer questions on national highways and other related issues, Wednesday, November 4, 1998, at 3:30 p.m., before deciding on the Committee's future business.

A debate arose.

The question being put on the motion, it was agreed to.

 

At 4:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
