Meeting No. 77

Tuesday, May 25, 1999

The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Acting Chair, Peter Stoffer, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: John Cummins, Claude Drouin, Wayne Easter, Charles Hubbard, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Gar Knutson, Lou Sekora, Peter Stoffer.

Acting Members present: Chuck Strahl for Gary Lunn.

Other Member present: Marlene Jennings.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From the Pacific Salmon Commission: Rich Chapple, Executive Director.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), study of West Coast Fisheries.

Rich Chapple made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 9:17 a.m., Charles Hubbard took the Chair.

At 10:40 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
