Mrs. Bakopanos (Saint-Denis), seconded by Mr. English (Kitchener), moved, — That, in the opinion of this House, the government should support all measures leading to the demilitarization of the Republic of Cyprus in such a way as to enhance prospects for a peaceful and lasting resolution of the dispute regarding Cyprus that would benefit all the people of Cyprus and bring about an end to more than two decades of division on the island. (Private Members’ Business M–239)
