Introduction of Government Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Mifflin (Minister of Fisheries and Oceans), seconded by Mr. Collenette (Minister of National Defence and Minister of Veterans Affairs), Bill C–26, An Act respecting the oceans of Canada, was introduced, read the first time and ordered to be printed.

Pursuant to Order made Monday, March 4, 1996, the Bill (previously Bill C–98, 1st Session, 35th Parliament) was deemed to have been read the second time, considered by the the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans and reported with amendments.
