The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Ken McDonald regarding a witness who submitted his expense claim to the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage be granted a supplementary study budget of $6,250.00 for its study of safe sport in Canada.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration be granted a supplementary study budget of $2,000.00 for its study of application backlogs and processing times.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a supplementary budget of $40,640.00 to travel to Fredericton, New Brunswick; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, in the Fall of 2023, in relation to its study of pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2024 budget.

At 12:47 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
