Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Canada’s clean energy plans in the context of North American energy transformation.

Peter Tertzakian, Christopher Keefer, George Christidis, Fernando Melo and Michael Powell made statements and answered questions.

At 6:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:09 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to documents provided to the committee by Paper Excellence pursuant to the motion adopted on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, members of the committee be allowed to view the said documents under the supervision of the clerk, by appointment, on either Wednesday, October 18, 2023, or Thursday, October 19, 2023; that no personal mobile or electronic device be permitted in the room; that no notes be taken out of the room; that members be allowed to be accompanied by one party representative when viewing the documents; and that members be allowed to designate up to two party representatives to view the documents in their stead.

At 6:19 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
