The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 11:15 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:21 a.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the committee undertake, as the second study of the committee, for one meeting, a study of Report 5, Lessons Learned from Canada's Record on Climate Change, by the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development.

It was agreed, — That pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) the committee undertake studies on various reports tabled between May 2021 and December 2021 by the Auditor General of Canada and the Commissioner of Environment and Sustainable Development in the following order:

  1. Report 5, Lessons Learned from Canada’s Record on Climate Change, by the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development
  2. Report 10, Securing Personal Protective Equipment and Medical Devices
  3. Report of the Joint Auditors to the Board of Directors of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board—Special Examination Report—2021
  4. Report 11, Health Resources for Indigenous Communities—Indigenous Services Canada
  5. Report 12, Protecting Canada’s Food System
  6. Report 13, Health and Safety of Agricultural Temporary Foreign Workers in Canada During the COVID-19 Pandemic
  7. Report 2, Natural Health Products—Health Canada, of the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development
  8. Report 15, Enforcement of Quarantine and COVID-19 Testing Orders—Public Health Agency of Canada
  9. Report 14, Regional Relief and Recovery Fund
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 1, Procuring Complex Information Technology Solutions, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 24th report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Procuring Complex Information Technology Solutions", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 2, National Shipbuilding Strategy, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 23rd report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "National Shipbuilding Strategy", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 3, Access to Safe Drinking Water in First Nations Communities—Indigenous Services Canada, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 20th report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Access to Safe Drinking Water in First Nations Communities", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 4, Canada Child Benefit—Canada Revenue Agency, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 19th report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Canada Child Benefit", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 5, Follow-up Audit on Rail Safety—Transport Canada, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 21st report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Follow-up Audit on Rail Safety", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 6, Canada Emergency Response Benefit, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 17th report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Canada Emergency Response Benefit", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 7, Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 25th report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 8, Pandemic Preparedness, Surveillance, and Border Control Measures, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 18th report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Pandemic Preparedness, Surveillance, and Border Control Measures", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee commenced consideration of Report 9, Investing in Canada Plan, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 22nd report of the committee in the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, entitled "Investing in Canada Plan", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the committee host the joint annual meeting of the Canadian Council of Public Accounts Committees and the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa, ON, in August of 2022, and that the planning and preparation undertaken by the committee, related to this activity during the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament, be approved by the committee in the current session.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $575, for the study of Briefing with the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,450, for the study of Public Accounts of Canada 2021, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,600, for the study of Report 10, Securing Personal Protective Equipment and Medical Devices, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1,450, for the study of Report 11, Health Resources for Indigenous Communities—Indigenous Services Canada, of the 2021 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, be adopted.
