The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Parliamentary Budget Officer to appear to discuss his report on Canada’s Military Expenditure, which was published in June 2022.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the air defence procurement projects.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the National Shipbuilding Strategy.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Supplying Canada’s Armed Forces and Coast Guard With the Right Equipment: An Interim Report".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than Monday, June 20, 2022.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the National Shipbuilding Strategy, the committee travel to Lévis, Quebec, Québec, Quebec, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Victoria, British Columbia, and Vancouver, British Columbia, during the week of October 17, 2022, and that the necessary staff do accompany the committee.

ORDERED, — That, in relation to the study of the National Shipbuilding Strategy, the clerk of the committee be authorized to make the necessary arrangements for hospitality during the committee's travel to Lévis, Quebec, Québec, Quebec, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Victoria, British Columbia, and Vancouver, British Columbia, during the week of October 17, 2022

At 1:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
