Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on October 6, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Arctic Security.

Robert Huebert, Anessa Kimball, and Justin Massie made statements and answered questions.

At 12:33 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:35 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of the vice-chair.

It was agreed, — That James Bezan be elected First Vice-Chair of the committee.

It was agreed, — That, the committee call officials from the Canadian Armed Forces, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to testify concerning reports that former Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilots have undertaken employment to train members of the People's Liberation Army Air Force; that the officials appear for no fewer than two hours, and that this appearance take place no later than November 3, 2022.

At 1:05 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
