The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Tako Van Popta, it was agreed, — That, in relation with the hospitality expenses related to the informal meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights on Monday, October 16, 2023, that the committee defray its share with the Subcommittee on International Human Rights and the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.

On motion of Anthony Housefather, it was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $12,250, for the study of Bill S-12, be adopted.

At 4:53 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:55 p.m., the sitting resumed.
