Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, December 12, 2022, the committee commenced its study of the Contract Awarded to Sinclair Technologies.

The Minister made a statement and, with Bryan Larkin and Samantha Hazen, answered questions.

Motion

Brad Vis moved, — That all papers related to the contract awarded to Sinclair technologies from the RCMP and the Minister of Public Safety be provided to Members of the Standing committee on Industry and Technology for further review and scrutiny.

Debate arose thereon.

At 4:15 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:23 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Han Dong, Bernard Généreux, Sébastien Lemire, Rick Perkins, Brad Vis, Ryan Williams — 6;

NAYS: Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, Andy Fillmore, Iqwinder Gaheer, Viviane Lapointe — 4.

At 4:53 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:59 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 5:29 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
