Election of Chair
Pursuant to Standing Order 106(1), the committee met for the purpose of electing a chair. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a chair.

On motion of Jaime Battiste, it was agreed, — That John Aldag be elected Chair of the committee.

At 4:21 p.m., John Aldag took the Chair.

At 4:22 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:23 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Committee Business
The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a meeting of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

At 4:27 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
