Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the committee resumed its study of oversight of medical devices (breast implants).

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Bill C-293, An Act respecting pandemic prevention and preparedness, the deadline for the submission of amendments to the clerk of the committee be Friday, October 20, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Bill C-293, An Act respecting pandemic prevention and preparedness, the committee invite officials from the Department of Health to appear on Monday, October 23, 2023, for the clause-by-clause consideration of the bill.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the committee resumed its study of oversight of medical devices (breast implants).

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee hold a meeting not later than Monday, October 30, 2023, to hear from witnesses with respect to the Department of Health’s regulatory changes for natural health products, and that each party represented on the committee be invited to submit one witness to appear at the meeting.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the Department of Health’s regulatory changes for natural health products, each party represented on the committee submit to the clerk one witness to be invited to appear on Monday, October 30, 2023, not later than Monday, October 16, 2023, at 4 p.m.

At 9:38 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
