Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the emergency situation facing Canadians in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Isaac Bogoch, Emilia Liana Falcone, Barry Hunt, Stuart Edmonds and Kelly Masotti made statements.

At 4:35 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit until the completion of witness opening statements.

Rebecca Shields and Sandra Hanna made statements.

At 4:50 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:31 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the committee continue to sit until 6:30 p.m.

The witnesses answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Michael Barrett gave notice of the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) the Committee undertake a study on the government’s role in the development and procurement of the Medicago vaccine and that the Minister of Innovation and Minister of Health be invited to appear before the Committee to testify.
