Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Canada’s sanctions regime.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

Garnett Genuis gave notice of the following motion:

That in relation to its study of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the committee hold 3 meetings looking specifically at Russia’s collaboration with other rogue states such as Iran, North Korea, and Myanmar, with a particular emphasis on weapons technology sharing and on efforts to circumvent western sanctions.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the news release, in relation to the study of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women globally, be adopted.

At 1:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
