Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Friday, July 15, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Export of Russian Gazprom Turbines.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:48 p.m., Stéphane Bergeron took the Chair.

At 4:55 p.m., Marty Morantz took the Chair.

Motion

Garnett Genuis moved, — That the committee proceed to Committee Business for 10 minutes.

The question was put on the motion and the result of the vote was announced:

YEAS: James Bezan, Garnett Genuis, Ron Liepert, Heather McPherson — 4;

NAYS: Stéphane Bergeron, Randeep Sarai, Maninder Sidhu, Francesco Sorbara — 4.

Whereupon, the Chair voted in the affirmative.

Accordingly, the motion was agreed to.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Garnett Genuis moved, — That the committee schedule meetings to invite the Canadian-Ukrainian Congress for one hour and other witnesses submitted by the parties for its study on the export of Russian Gazprom turbines.

Debate arose thereon.

Motion

Rachel Bendayan moved, — That the committee do now adjourn.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Rachel Bendayan, Stéphane Bergeron, Randeep Sarai, Maninder Sidhu, Francesco Sorbara, Sameer Zuberi — 6;

NAYS: James Bezan, Garnett Genuis, Ron Liepert, Heather McPherson — 4.
