Motion

Dave Epp moved, — That the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development report to the House the following:

That the committee call upon the Government of Canada to implement recommendation No. 8 of the Eleventh Report of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans entitled "Restoring Full Accountability for Resources and Governance of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission", adopted during the 1st session of the 44th Parliament, by transferring responsibility for the Great Lakes Commission to Global Affairs Canada: and

That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government tables a comprehensive response to the report recommendation No. 8 of the Eleventh Report of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on division.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, the committee commenced its study of the governance of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
