Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee commenced its study of Vaccine Equity and Intellectual Property Rights.

Joshua Tabah made a statement and, with Stephen de Boer, Mark Schaan and Darryl Patterson, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 575.00, for the briefing of the Subcommittee on International Human Rights with the World Food Programme, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $875.00, for the briefing of the Subcommittee on International Human Rights with Human Rights Organizations, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed workplan for the study of the Situation in the Taiwan Strait, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed workplan for the study of Vaccine Equity and Intellectual Property Rights, as amended, be adopted.

Motion

Garnett Genuis moved, — That all written responses that have been or will be sent by witnesses to the committee arising from questions asked during public hearings, since the beginning of the 44th Parliament and going forward, shall be published on the committee’s website, unless the committee has agreed or agrees in a particular case that particular responses given shall not be made public.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

At 12:58 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
