Tony Baldinelli moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee prioritize its agenda in order to undertake a study of no less than 2 meetings before the 2022 summer adjournment of the House to study and learn more about the impacts the ArriveCAN application is having on travellers at Canadian international ports of entry, including land borders, bridge crossings, and airports, and how this application is currently impacting not only Canada’s tourism industry, but other sectors of the Canadian economy which have come to rely on the efficient operation and facilitation of cross-border travel and trade to ensure their economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
It was agreed, — That consideration of the motion of Tony Baldinelli be postponed until 15 minutes before the scheduled end time of the meeting.

Simon-Pierre Savard-Tremblay moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “no less than 2 meetings” with the words “at least one meeting” and by deleting the words “travellers at Canadian international ports of entry, including land borders, bridge crossings, and airports, and how this application is currently impacting not only Canada’s tourism industry, but other”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Simon-Pierre Savard-Tremblay and it was agreed to.
The motion, as amended, read as follows:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee prioritize its agenda in order to undertake a study of at least one meeting before the 2022 summer adjournment of the House to study and learn more about the impacts the ArriveCAN application is having on sectors of the Canadian economy which have come to rely on the efficient operation and facilitation of cross-border travel and trade to ensure their economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
Arif Virani moved, — That the motion be amended by adding the words “, should resources permit” after the words “recommendations to the House”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Arif Virani and it was agreed to.
The motion, as amended, read as follows:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee prioritize its agenda in order to undertake a study of at least one meeting before the 2022 summer adjournment of the House to study and learn more about the impacts the ArriveCAN application is having on sectors of the Canadian economy which have come to rely on the efficient operation and facilitation of cross-border travel and trade to ensure their economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House, should resources permit.
After debate, the question was put on the motion, as amended, and it was agreed to.
