Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, the committee resumed a briefing to discuss the department of Canadian Heritage's contract with the Community Media Advocacy Centre.

Mala Khana made a statement and, with Charles Slowey, answered questions.

At 12:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:56 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $4,900.00, for the study of the Status of the Artist Act and its Impact on Improving Basic Working Conditions for Artists, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $29,025.00, for the study of Safe Sport in Canada, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $675.00, for the study of Briefing on Trauma-Informed Practices, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That representatives of the Canada women's national soccer team be invited to appear as a priority witness in relation to the study of Safe Sport in Canada.

At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
