The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That Sébastien Lemire and a member of his staff attend today’s in camera committee meeting.

At 6:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:20 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 6:51 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:08 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the committee meet on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, and Wednesday, July 27, 2022, on the topic of Hockey Canada; that the committee convene as witnesses: Hockey Canada under subpoena, the Minister of Sport, the Canadian Hockey League and affiliated leagues under subpoena, Glen McCurdie under subpoena, Henein Hutchinson, Barry Lorenzetti, president of the insurance company BFL Canada, Nicole Mulligan under subpoena; that the committee request the non-disclosure agreement redacted as to identities and copies of communications from Hockey Canada to teams and players on this issue, and communications between Sport Canada and Hockey Canada on this issue, minutes of Hockey Canada and the Hockey Canada Foundation subject to solicitor-client privilege, litigation privilege and settlement privilege from June 2018 until now, by Friday, July 15, 2022; and that the deadline for submission of witnesses for Bill C-18, Online News Act, be Friday, September 16, 2022, and that the list be amendable.

At 7:19 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
