The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Chair write to Correctional Service Canada on Behalf of the committee requesting an update on recommendations 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9 of the committee’s 47th report of the 42nd Parliament entitled "Report 5, Preparing Women Offenders for Release—Correctional Service Canada, of the 2017 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada" and that the requested information be provided to the committee within five business day of the date of the letter.

It was agreed, — That the Chair write to Correctional Service Canada on Behalf of the committee requesting an update on recommendations 1, 2 and 3 of the committee’s 62nd report of the 42nd Parliament entitled "Report 6, Community Supervision—Correctional Service Canada, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada" and that the requested information be provided to the committee within five business day of the date of the letter.

It was agreed, — That the Chair write to the Clerk of the Privy Council on behalf of the committee requesting he provide the committee with an update on the response of the Treasury Board to recommendation 6 of the committee’s 53rd report of the 42nd Parliament entitled "Report 1, Building and Implementing the Phoenix Pay System, of the 2018 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada" and that the response be provided to the committee within one month of the date of the letter.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Secretary of the Treasury Board and the Clerk of the Privy Council to appear before the committee for one hour regarding the committee’s 52nd report of the 42nd Parliament entitled "Report on the Message of the Auditor General in the 2018 Spring Reports" to provide it with further follow-up regarding the three recommendations in the report.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Special Examination Report - Report of the Joint Auditors to the Board of Directors of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 65th report of the committee in the 1st Session of the 42nd Parliament, entitled "Special Examination Report - Report of the Joint Auditors to the Board of Directors of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Report 2, Conserving Federal Heritage Properties, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 66th report of the committee in the 1st Session of the 42nd Parliament, entitled "Report 2, Conserving Federal Heritage Properties, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada", be adopted as a report of the Committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Report 5, Equipping Officers of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, of the 2019 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 67th report of the committee in the 1st Session of the 42nd Parliament, entitled "Report 5, Equipping Officers of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, of the 2019 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee commenced its study of Committee Legacy.

It was agreed, — That the 68th report of the committee in the 1st Session of the 42nd Parliament, entitled "Do Service Well: the Standing Committee on Public Accounts of the Forty-Second Parliament", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Processing of Asylum Claims, Report 2 of the 2019 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 69th report of the committee in the 1st Session of the 42nd Parliament, entitled "Processing of Asylum Claims, Report 2 of the 2019 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of Call Centres, Report 1 of the 2019 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the 70th report of the committee in the 1st Session of the 42nd Parliament, entitled "Call Centres, Report 1 of the 2019 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada", be adopted as a report of the committee in this session; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report, and that the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the committee recommend that in the future it adopt a routine motion at the beginning of each Parliament that it would readopt any report of the committee that had not received a government response in the previous session and ask for a government response in the existing session.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 5, 2020, the committee resumed consideration of Report 2, Student Financial Assistance, of the 2020 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the committee Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Student Financial Assistance".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

At 12:58 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
