Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 8, 2020, the committee continued its study of the Nuctech security equipment contract.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:12 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the letters prepared by the clerk pursuant to the order of the committee of Monday, December 7, 2020, be approved.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the redacted documents related to the National Emergency Strategic Stockpile, submitted in relation to the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 2, 2020, be posted on the committee's website.

At 5:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:32 p.m., the sitting resumed.

ORDERED, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the documents related to disaggregated data, submitted in relation to the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 2, 2020, be distributed to members of the committee forthwith but remain confidential; that the Chair, clerk and analysts present a timeframe for the documents to be published on the committee's website; and that Employment and Social Development Canada be directed to continue translating all documents related to this motion.

At 6:11 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
