The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $3,000 for the study of the access to mental health services within the Canadian Armed Forces, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $2,775 for the study of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Canadian Armed Forces operations, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee, concerning its study of addressing sexual misconduct issues in the Canadian Armed Forces, including the allegations against former Chief of the Defence Staff Jonathan Vance, and the allegations against Chief of the Defence Staff Art McDonald, invite Michael Wernick to testify for no less than two hours, that the meeting be held in public and be televised.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the committee resumed its study of addressing sexual misconduct issues in the Canadian Armed Forces, including the allegations against former Chief of the Defence Staff Jonathan Vance.

Raymond Trotter made a statement and answered questions.

At 1:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:45 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 2:52 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:04 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The minister made a statement and, with Jody Thomas and Geneviève Bernatchez, answered questions.

At 5:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
