Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That, with regard to the study of Bill C-218, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (sports betting), the committee hold an additional meeting on Thursday, March 11, 2021, provided that six witnesses appear at this meeting and that they be invited by the Chair based on the requests to appear received and additional suggestions from the parties, if any, with the goal of ensuring a diverse roster of witnesses from the industries affected by this legislation.
It was agreed, — That, with regard to the study of Bill C-218, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (sports betting), the deadline for submitting amendments to the clerk be Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. (ET).
It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding any previous decisions, the committee invite the Minister of Justice to appear on Thursday, March 11, 2021, before the committee for consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021, and the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022.
The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

At 12:11 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.
