Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday,October 26, 2020, the committee resumed its study of the emergency situation facing Canadians in light of the second wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 2:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Tony Van Bynen moved, — That the committee instruct the analysts to prepare an interim report on the topic of the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of Canadians based on the four meetings held on this topic as part of the study on the Emergency Situation Facing Canadians in Light of the Second Wave of COVID-19.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Larry Maguire moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “in Light of the Second Wave of COVID-19. ” the following: “and that this interim report be considered only at sittings when the House is on recess”.

Larry Maguire moved, — That the debate be adjourned until the end of the meeting on Monday, February 1, 2021.
