Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, June 10, 2021, the committee commenced its study of eliminating hate crimes and violence against women and marginalized groups.

Asif Khan, Saadia Mahdi, Safwan Choudhry, Amira Elghawaby and Nuzhat Jafri made statements and answered questions.

At 11:11 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:12 a.m., the sitting resumed.

At 11:16 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:16 a.m., the sitting resumed.

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Samya Hasan made a statement and, with Saadia Mahdi and Nuzhat Jafri, answered questions.

At 1:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
