Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h) and the motion adopted by the committee on Friday, December 11, 2020, the committee resumed its study of the protection of privacy and reputation on platforms such as Pornhub.

The witnesses each made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:02, Brenda Shanahan took the Chair.

At 12:05, Chair took the Chair.

Motion

Brenda Shanahan moved, — That, in relation of the study of the protection of privacy and reputation on platforms such as Pornhub, the committee hear from further witnesses at its next scheduled meeting for a minimum of two hours.

Debate arose thereon.

At 12:16 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:56 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Motion

Michael Barrett moved, — That the committee do now adjourn.

The question was put on the motion and the result of the vote was announced:

YEAS: Charlie Angus, Michael Barrett, Colin Carrie, Rhéal Éloi Fortin, Jacques Gourde — 5;

NAYS: Han Dong, Greg Fergus, Patricia Lattanzio, Brenda Shanahan, Francesco Sorbara — 5.

Whereupon, the Chair voted in the affirmative.

Accordingly, the motion was agreed to.

At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
