At 12:19 p.m., the sitting resumed.
Jacques Gourde moved, — That the committee request a copy of the contact and mandate of National Public Relations, in addition to any communications between National Public Relations, the federal government and WE Organization; that these documents be submitted to the committee by Friday, December 11, 2020; and that these documents be reviewed in camera.
Debate arose thereon.
At 12:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 12:34 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 12:45 p.m., the sitting resumed.
Brenda Shanahan moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting the words “the federal government” and by adding after the words “in camera” the words “by members only with no recording devices present in the room”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment and the result of the vote was announced:
YEAS: Han Dong, Greg Fergus, Patricia Lattanzio, Brenda Shanahan, Francesco Sorbara — 5;
NAYS: Charlie Angus, Michael Barrett, Marie-Hélène Gaudreau, Jacques Gourde, John Nater — 5.
Whereupon, the Chair voted in the negative.
Accordingly, the amendment was negatived.
The Committee resumed consideration of the motion of Jacques Gourde, — That the committee request a copy of the contract and mandate of National Public Relations, in addition to any communications between National Public Relations, the federal government and WE Organization; that these documents be submitted to the committee by Friday, December 11, 2020; and that these documents be reviewed in camera.
After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
YEAS: Charlie Angus, Michael Barrett, Han Dong, Greg Fergus, Marie-Hélène Gaudreau, Jacques Gourde, John Nater — 7;
NAYS: Patricia Lattanzio, Brenda Shanahan, Francesco Sorbara — 3.

It was agreed, — That once received from National Public Relations, the Chair, the clerk, the analysts and the Law Clerk redact the documents to remove references to trade secrets or fees charged which could seen as sensitive to the continuance of business.
At 1:41 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
