The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Third Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your subcommittee met on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, in addition to the witnesses agreed to on July 23, 2020, in relation to its study on the Review of the Safeguards in Place to Prevent Conflicts of Interest in Federal Government Expenditure Policies, the following witnesses be invited to appear: Guy Giorno Mary Dawson Duff Conacher Sofia Marquez Jamie Kippen Ian Shugart Ralph Heintzman Georges Legault Cornelius Von Baeyer Stephen Maguire Robert Czerny Susan Phillips Chris MacDonald

2. That the clerk and the analysts prepare a proposed workplan with suggested panels where appropriate.

3. That other witnesses be agreed upon and invited for subsequent meetings.

At 12:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 13:50 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the committee commenced its study to review the safeguards in place to prevent conflicts of interest in federal government expenditure policies.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 3:25 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:14 p.m., the sitting resumed.
