Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, April 11, 2019, the Committee commenced its study of the National Trade Corridors Fund.

Ian Hamilton, by videoconference from Hamilton, Ontario, and Stanley Anablak made statements.

At 11:17 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

Scott Northey made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 11:40 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Peter Xotta, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Allison Field and Lisa Baratta, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee send the reference document from the Western Transportation Advisory Council entitled "WESTAC Compass Report - Leader Survey Highlights" to translation for distribution purposes.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $10,000, for the study of National Trade Corridors Fund, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Committee send a letter to the Minister of Transport to inform him of the testimonies heard in relation to the study of the National Trade Corridors Fund.

At 12:57 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
