Pursuant to Standing Orders 108(1)(a) and 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, September 21, 2017, the Committee met jointly with the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration for a briefing on the issue of asylum seekers irregularly entering Canada from the United States.

Patrick Tanguy, Joanne Crampton, Jacques Cloutier and Michael MacDonald made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
