Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed consideration of the report of the Chief Electoral Officer entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election", referred to the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

It was agreed, — That on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, the Committee continue its study of the Chief Electoral Officer’s report entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election".

It was agreed, — That on Thursday, November 3, 2016, the Committee meet for one hour to continue its study of the Chief Electoral Officer’s report entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election"; and, that the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meet at 12:00 p.m.

The witnesses answered questions.

It was agreed, — That Elections Canada consult with appropriate officials from the Canadian Armed Forces regarding certain recommendations contained in the Chief Electoral Officer’s report.

At 1:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
