Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Monday, March 7, 2016, and on Thursday, May 4, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of antimicrobial resistance.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 5:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:14 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in the letter adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, to be sent to the Ministers of Health, Public Safety and Justice concerning Bill C-45, An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts, it be reflected that the letter was adopted by a majority of the members of the Committee; and that the letter be made public.

It was agreed, — That the Committee adopt the following calendar:

Tuesday, November 21, 2017 – Antimicrobial resistance – Witnesses

Thursday, November 23, 2017 – Antimicrobial resistance – Drafting instructions for a report

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 – Auditor General’s report on oral health programs for First Nations and Inuit

Tuesday, December 5, 2017 – Supplementary Estimates (B)

Thursday, December 7, 2017 – Canada’s Food Guide – Witnesses

Tuesday, December 12, 2017 – Canada’s Food Guide – Witnesses.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Canada’s Food Guide, the members of the Committee submit their prioritized lists of witnesses to the Clerk of the Committee by Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

At 5:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
